Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical RN to join a Level II Trauma facility. The RN will primarily provide care on the Orthopedic Unit while maintaining flexibility to float to other appropriate units based on patient census and facility needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and orthopedic patients.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide safe and effective post-operative and orthopedic patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and patient-safety standards.
• Float to other appropriate units as required based on census.

Unit & Floating Requirements

• RN will work primarily on the Orthopedic Unit.
• Floating may be required based on census and facility needs.
• Travelers should be comfortable working across appropriate Med-Surg units as needed.

Time-Off (RTO) Requirement

• All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the candidate's initial submission and included in the candidate profile.
• No exceptions will be made for RTO submitted after the candidate's profile is submitted.
