Weekend: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
On-Call: As Needed – 45-minute response time
 

Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist / CT Tech provides safe, individualized, and high-quality patient care while performing Nuclear Medicine and CT procedures. The technologist is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care and must be able to manage complex or high-risk clinical situations.
 

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care through individualized assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures according to established clinical protocols.
• Perform CT procedures within the scope of required certification and training.
• Promote quality patient outcomes through accurate and timely procedures.
• Provide individualized care based on patient and family needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Manage complex, new, unusual, or high-risk clinical situations and seek additional resources when needed.
• Serve as a patient and family advocate.
• Maintain patient safety and follow all applicable clinical and departmental protocols. 

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Radiology experience
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) – NMTCB or ARRT (N)
• Certified Computed Tomography (CT) – ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT)
• CTNM All Scopes certification – California Department of Public Health
• BLS – American Heart Association
• Successful completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine Technology training program from an AMA-approved school meeting California State/Federal requirements or equivalent.
• Strong clinical assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills.
• Ability to manage complex and high-risk clinical situations.
• English – Read, Write & Speak 

Schedule & On-Call:

• 40 hours/week
• 5 × 8-hour shifts
• Variable weekday shifts:
  • 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
  • 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
  • 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
• Every other weekend
• On-call as needed
• 45-minute response time
• When a dose is needed during call, the NM Technologist will:
  • Contact the pharmacy from home to order the dose.
  • Notify the ordering provider of the expected delay.
  • Report to the facility when the dose is expected to arrive, which may take approximately 1–1.5 hours.
