Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy

Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General
Location: Akron, Ohio

Shift Times: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Contract: 13 weeks
 

Position Overview

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN to join its team. The ideal candidate will have strong recent Endoscopy experience and be comfortable working weekday shifts with scheduled call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent permanent Endoscopy RN experience
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand at submission
• BLS and ACLS – active and in hand
• Strong Endoscopy experience required
• Travel experience is not required
• One professional reference from a Manager, ANM, Supervisor, or Director in Endoscopy
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Co-worker references will not be accepted

Schedule & Call

• 5×8-hour day shifts
• No regularly scheduled weekends unless called in
• 1–2 weekday call shifts per week, after the scheduled shift until 7:00 AM
• 1–2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks
• Weekend call is a 24-hour Saturday/Sunday period
• 1-hour response time for call

Important Submission Requirements

• All RTO must be discussed during the interview and provided at submission

• Candidates may only be submitted to one Cleveland Clinic Health System position at a time

   

• Required certifications must be active and in hand; pending certifications are not accepted
• Facility does not accept license hits or candidates with an open background case
• BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract

Orientation & Assessments

During orientation, candidates will complete:

• ECG rhythm recognition test
• SafeMedicate assessment

Candidates receive a maximum of 2 attempts to achieve an acceptable score.

Additional Information

• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• PBDS assessment is waived
• Approximately 6–15 hours of pre-start modules
• 4 hours of modules are billable; additional pre-start module time is non-billable
• Modules are completed through Silkroad
• Contract extensions may be available, subject to facility requirements
