MANAGER INTERVIEWS

Required Licenses and Certifications: Current MI RN license, and AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, TNCC and PALS

Minimum Experience (yrs in specialty):  2 years

General Job Duties:  Functions from an integrated knowledge base of interpersonal, physiological, and psychosocial framework and utilizes critical thinking skills in the delivery of patient care.

Unit Information (Bed size, Case types, Patient ratios, etc.):  6 Beds, Average daily census: 20 patients. Ratio 1: 3

Charting Experience:  Epic EMR, Pyxis medication management system, GE bedside cardiac monitors & telemetry, Alaris Infusion systems, Cisco & Responder 5 communication devices, Maxi Sky patient lifts, LifePak. Will train on EMR, Pyxis, GE monitors, Alaris pumps

Desired Unit Specific Skillset: Aseptic practice skills, patient monitoring, including EKG, invasive pressure, B/P, and SaO2, etc., caring for patients in the post-anesthesia period, calculation of drug doses and administer based on physician order, management of tubes, endotracheal tubes, tracheostomies, and patients on mechanical ventilation, clinical competency in conscious sedation

Float Requirements (campuses and/or units): Possible float to Med/Surg
On Call/Call Back Requirements: Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours
Weekend/Holiday Rotation Requirements:  Every 3rd weekend. Holidays as needed.

Scrub Colors required: Uniform/scrubs as described by department policy are acceptable. All uniforms worn while on duty are to be neat, clean well fitting, wrinkle-free and conservative. Uniforms will be coordinated, tailored and be universally accepted as uniforms based upon current fashion and uniform manufacturers design. All employees will wear identification tags indicating the employee's position or profession. These tags are issued at the time of employment to all employees.

During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions). Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.

Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census.
