Registered Nurse (RN) — Fort Yuma Health Care Center (FYHCC)

Location: 401 Picacho Road, Winterhaven, California 92283

Contract Type: Federal One-Year Contract (Base Period) — Indian Health Service BPA Call, nonpersonal health care services

Estimated Start Date: November 1, 2026 (facility estimate; subject to award, security clearance, and credentialing/privileging timelines)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0800–1700 Pacific Time (40 hrs/week), excluding Federal holidays; full-day, partial-day, or intermittent BPA call clinic sessions.

Credentialing Lead Time: Candidate package due at least 45 calendar days before proposed start date; no performance may begin until security, onboarding, and credentialing/privileging are complete and the Government issues written start authorization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform intake, nursing assessments, triage, medication administration, immunizations, and specimen collection within RN scope.
• Recognize condition changes and escalate to the appropriate practitioner or emergency response team.
• Document encounters, vitals, medications, treatments, and hand-offs same-day in the Government EHR.
• Support safe clinic flow and continuity of care across BPA call coverage periods.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN or higher

• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in any U.S. State, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Territory

• Minimum 2 years' recent ambulatory/primary/urgent/outpatient specialty nursing experience

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)

Taxed W-2 Hourly Rate

$58.00 /hr ($2,320.00 /week @ 40 hrs)

Weekly Per Diem (Lodging + M&IE)

$1,246.00 /week (non-taxable, GSA CONUS basis)

Blended Effective Hourly Rate

$89.15 /hr (taxed wage + per diem ÷ 40 hrs)

One-Time Travel Allowance

$500 (single lump-sum reimbursement for relocation/mileage/airfare to assignment start)
