Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience – Required
- Strong recent experience in:
- Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Postpartum
- Newborn care
- Experience with BFHI (Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative) / rooming-in newborns with mothers
- Must be comfortable with approximately 40 deliveries/month and 6 C-sections/month
- Charge nurse experience/training preferred; may cover as charge nurse after facility training
- Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays
- May float to other departments within the candidate's competency
Required Certifications
- AHA ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- RNC-EFM may substitute for AWHONN FHM
