Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Shift: Days
Schedule: 4x10 | 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or approved equivalent
- ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology or NMTCB certification
- Texas MRT state licensure
- BLS – AHA only
- Basic computer experience
Experience
- 1 year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures.
- Handle radionuclides and pharmaceuticals while following radiation-safety protocols.
- Support other imaging technologists and facilitate patient throughput.
- Perform QA activities and daily/periodic required testing.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment, image processing, PACS, and image archiving issues.
- Ensure completed exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS.
- Follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS superuser.
- Report equipment malfunctions and follow up with Biomedical/management.
- Maintain required imaging competencies and participate in ongoing education.
- May work other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed.
