Description

Role: CVOR / OR Surgical Technologist

Setting: Acute care, Level III Trauma

EMR: Epic

Guaranteed: 40 hours/week

BSN: Not required

Schedule

The manager will consider:

4 × 10-hour shifts: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
5 × 8-hour shifts: 7:15 AM–3:00 PM
Primarily Monday–Friday
Possible weekend/holiday call
Block scheduling may be accommodated

Call

5–6 call days for techs
Weeknight call: 9:00 PM–6:30 AM
Weekend call:
- One 12-hour day
- One 12-hour night
30-minute response time
Weekend requirement is covered through call

OR / CVOR Details

Main OR: 7 suites
Approximately 22–45 cases/day across three specialties
35–40% of cases may be add-ons
Inpatient + outpatient
Level III trauma
No neuro
Common cases include:
- General surgery
- Bowel resections
- GYN
- Urology/TURP
- Cystoscopy
- Lithotripsy
- Robotics — 2 busy robot rooms
- Some bariatrics and plastics
Ortho has dedicated rooms/techs
Dental has dedicated techs
Eye cases are rare

Requirements

Required before submission:

Washington State CVOR Tech license
Driver's license
BLS

National surgical-tech certification is not required
