Description

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) needed for a 13-week travel contract on an acute inpatient psychiatric unit at a hospital in Reseda, CA, with a focus on geriatric psychiatry. Start date October 5, 2026. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 8-hour day shifts, 40 guaranteed hours per week.

W-2 weekly pay package: $814.80 taxable ($20.37/hr x 40) plus $1,400 non-taxable housing and meals stipend, for a total of $2,214.80 per week ($55.37/hr blended). Overtime paid at 1.5x under California rules.

You will complete psychosocial assessments, develop treatment and discharge plans, maintain clinical documentation, and lead patient groups as part of the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements:

Active California LCSW license (Board of Behavioral Sciences)
Master's degree in Social Work
Minimum 1 year of hospital experience strongly preferred
Inpatient psychiatric and geriatric psychiatry experience preferred
BLS certification
Prior travel experience
Completed facility skills checklist required at submission (we will provide the form)

No on-call, no floating. Nightingale's List is a California Certified Small Business placing licensed clinicians in behavioral health and regulated settings.

California LCSW license is required; out-of-state licenses do not qualify. Stipends require a qualifying permanent tax home outside the commutable area.
