• Unit: 24-bed Antepartum/Postpartum unit
• EMR: Meditech & CPN
• Scrubs: Navy blue

🤰 About the Unit

This assignment is based in a dedicated Women’s Tower Antepartum/Postpartum unit caring for patients requiring specialized maternal care.

The unit has approximately 26 staff members and typically includes:

• Charge RN
• 4 RNs during the day
• Unit clerk during the day
• Collaborative nursing environment
• Strong emphasis on teamwork and communication 

🩺 Clinical Experience & Responsibilities

The unit utilizes experienced L&D RNs to support Antepartum patients. Nurses may care for patients requiring close maternal/fetal monitoring and management of higher-acuity pregnancy-related conditions.

Typical procedures and clinical responsibilities include:

• Non-stress tests (NSTs)
• Antepartum patient care
• Hyperemesis management
• Insulin drips
• Magnesium administration
• Heparin drips
• Maternal and fetal monitoring
• Ongoing assessment based on patient acuity 

📋 Requirements

Required:

• At least 1 year of relevant RN experience
• BLS
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends 

Preferred:

• Previous Labor & Delivery experience
• Previous Antepartum experience
• Experience caring for higher-acuity antepartum patients
• Experience with magnesium, insulin, and heparin infusions

• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the assignment location will not be considered.
• Full SSN is required at the time of submission.
