We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to acutely ill adult patients, including patients requiring both emergency and elective surgical care.

The RN will provide comprehensive patient care, monitor changes in condition, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve safe and effective patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill adult Medical/Surgical patients.
• Care for patients undergoing or recovering from emergent and elective surgical procedures.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor vital signs, neurological status, pain, and overall patient response to treatment.
• Perform neurological assessments and utilize NIHSS when indicated.
• Identify and promptly report changes in patient condition.
• Provide post-operative care, including wound and incision monitoring.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, recovery, and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety practices.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN License required at submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
• For NLH Med/Surg:
  • AHA ACLS required
  • NIHSS required
• Medical-Surgical Nursing specialty certification is strongly encouraged and supported.
