We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Mental Health Counselor to join a dedicated behavioral health team supporting children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting. This is an opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships, help young patients navigate challenging circumstances, and contribute to a safe, supportive healing environment.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a vital role in patient care, crisis intervention, behavioral support, and therapeutic programming while making a difference in the lives of children and families every day.

What You'll Do

• Establish therapeutic relationships with pediatric behavioral health patients
• Support a safe, structured, and therapeutic treatment environment
• Provide direct patient care and behavioral health support
• Monitor patient behavior and communicate changes to the treatment team
• Facilitate therapeutic activities and interventions
• Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation when needed
• Document patient interactions and observations in EPIC
• Collaborate with nursing, counseling, and psychiatric teams to support individualized care plans
• Promote patient safety and positive treatment outcomes

Requirements

✅ Bachelor's Degree Required

✅ Minimum 3 Years of Relevant Behavioral Health Experience

✅ Pediatric Experience Required

✅ Current BLS Certification Required

✅ Current CPI Certification Required

✅ Experience working in psychiatric, mental health, or behavioral health settings

✅ Strong communication, therapeutic intervention, and de-escalation skills

✅ Ability to work weekends as required

✅ Must successfully complete facility drug screening, including THC testing

✅ Ability to document care accurately in EPIC
