Description

CVICU RN | Winston Salem, NC

Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Contract Length: 13 to 26 weeks
Shift: Days, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week may be offered
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Scheduling: Self-scheduling
Float Requirement: Yes
Patient Ratios: 1:1 on weekdays; 1:2 on weekends
Unit: 14-bed Post Open Heart Recovery / CVICU unit
Charting: Epic

Requirements

Minimum two years of critical-care experience
Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
CVICU or open-heart recovery experience required
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
Must have experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, CRRT, Swan-Ganz monitoring, VADs, TAVR, post-cardiac surgery recovery, cardiac drips, arterial lines, central lines, ventilated patients, ABGs, blood products, and dysrhythmia management

Unit Details

Cares for post-open-heart recovery patients, thoracotomies, esophagogastrectomies, and TAVR patients
COVID vaccine not required
Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions only
