Position Overview

KTI Health is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week travel assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Pharmacist will work night shifts and provide pharmacy services. This position follows a 7-on/7-off schedule, providing a consistent block schedule and extended time off between work periods.
 

First-time travelers are welcome.
 

Schedule

• Shift: Night – 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
• Work Pattern: 4 consecutive 10-hour shifts + 3 consecutive 10-hour shifts = 70 hours during the 7-day work period
• After completing the 70-hour work week, the Pharmacist receives 7 consecutive days off.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacist experience
• Active RPh credential
• New Mexico Pharmacy license required
  • License may be pending
  • Expected licensing ETA: approximately 10 days
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• IV Certification required
• PharmD preferred
• Epic experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and accurate pharmaceutical care to inpatient patients.
• Review and verify medication orders for appropriate dosing, interactions, contraindications, and clinical appropriateness.
• Dispense medications according to physician orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor patients' medication therapy and identify potential medication-related problems.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support to inpatient units during overnight hours.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation using Epic.
• Ensure proper preparation, dispensing, storage, and handling of medications.
• Follow hospital medication-safety procedures and applicable pharmacy regulations.
• Support IV medication services in accordance with facility protocols.
• Communicate medication recommendations and concerns to the appropriate healthcare team.
• Provide pharmacy coverage at both assigned hospital locations as required.
