Travel Clinical Dietician | $2,660.00 /Week (Blended w/ Stipend) | 40 hours/week
 

Job Details:

Location: Lynwood, CA

Contract Duration: 12 weeks

Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities :

• Assess patients’ nutritional status and identify appropriate nutrition diagnoses
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and staff
• Interview patients regarding dietary habits, cultural preferences, and food needs
• Review screening information and prioritize high-risk patients
• Recommend therapeutic diets and address discrepancies in diet orders
• Evaluate patient tolerance and response to therapeutic diets
• Provide follow-up assessments and modify nutrition plans as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, education, and care plans in the medical record
• Coordinate with diet clerks to ensure accurate diets are served
• Communicate with physicians regarding nutrition-related concerns or irregularities
• Make nursing-unit rounds to identify patients at nutritional risk
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, social services, and other departments
• Maintain patient data needed to recommend or modify therapeutic diets
• Assist with monitoring clinical performance indicators and departmental quality initiatives
• Apply age-specific growth and development principles when assessing patient care needs
• Perform other duties as assigned
