🔥 NIGHT-SHIFT MED/SURG RN CONTRACT – ASCENSION COLUMBIA ST. MARY’S OZAUKEE
First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Registered Nurse (RN) in Mequon, Wisconsin (Ozaukee County / Greater Milwaukee North Shore). Operating within the acute inpatient medical/surgical unit at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Hospital, this position features a stable 3x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! If you are an acute care RN proficient in inpatient medical management, post-surgical recovery, continuous telemetry/rhythm interpretation, and Epic EMR looking to earn $2,311/week with maximum tax-free stipends, this Wisconsin assignment is built for you!

- Weekly Gross: $2,311.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,267.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $29.00/hr (36 regular hours)
- Overtime Rate: $43.50/hr
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Block scheduling is not offered.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- On-Call Requirements: NO ON-CALL REQUIRED!
- Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) rotation.
- Department & Unit: Med Surg Unit 001 (20330).
- Clinical Scope & Patient Population: Acute medical admissions, complex multi-system disease management (diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal impairment, infections), post-operative recovery, wound care, and IV therapy.
- Telemetry Competencies: Must be able to independently read and interpret basic cardiac rhythms and manage patients on telemetry monitoring.
- EMR System: Epic (Ascension Epic test-out required during onboarding).
- Floating Scope: Float on-site within clinical skill set, or to regional sister Ascension facilities within 40 miles if operationally required.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 2 or more years of dedicated acute care Med/Surg RN experience. Prior travel nurse experience is required.
- Licensure: Active Wisconsin RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License in hand at submittal.
- Certifications Required:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
- Facility Hygiene & Dress Code Policy: No artificial or acrylic nails permitted; natural nails must be kept clean and trimmed short (<1/4 inch).
- Onboarding Testing: Standard Ascension clinical onboarding exams (Specialty Exam, EKG Exam, Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, and Epic Test-Out).
