The hours would generally be Monday through Friday 8am to 430pm. There may be an occasional need for this person to come in early, stay late, or work a little on a weekend  this would only be for training which right now is needed for 1 individual who has a new G/J tube and staff need to be trained by a nurse to administer medication and to start/stop feedings. We try to get as much of this training during business hours, but sometimes we need to be a little flexible with staff schedules. Mostly staff are trained, it is mostly for new staff.

Supervises with the help of the program team of unlicensed Direct Support Professionals (DPS) 

 (DPS receive 10-12 hours of training before being signed off to give medications.)
Communicates with staff and managers
 

Trains LPNs and unlicensed staff on allowable nursing skills
Interacts wit providers, families and guardians as it relates to medical care
Responsible to assist with admissions
Consults with Group Home Managers for specific medical issues
Reviews and approved medication administration curriculum.
Regulations are different than Nursing Homes and Assisted Living. Facility is regulated by MN Department of Health."
