ED RN Job Summary

Unit Size: 40 beds with an average daily census of 145 patients
Patient Ratio: 4:1
EMR: Meditech
Experience Required: Minimum 1 to 2 years of current acute-care ED RN experience
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI Blue Card
Preferred Experience: Level I or II trauma experience and Meditech experience

Key Responsibilities

ESI triage, rapid and comprehensive assessments, pain management, sepsis and stroke interventions
Level I and II trauma activations, mass-casualty response, procedural sedation, pediatric emergency care, and behavioral-health crisis intervention
EKGs, defibrillation, IV starts, blood administration and collection, medication administration, wound care, suturing/staple assistance, and splinting
