Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Shift: Nights
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Weekend: Every other weekend coverage required
Experience: Minimum 1 year
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Patient Population: Adults
Scrubs: Any color
Electronic Documentation: Meditech preferred
Previous Perm/Staff Experience: Not accepted

Required Licensure & Certifications

Active Rhode Island Respiratory Therapist (RT) license — Required
BLS certification — Required
CRT certification — Required

Patient Population & Clinical Experience

Experience with adult patients and the following clinical areas is preferred:

Adult Critical Care
Emergency Department
COPD
Asthma
Critical Care
Emergency Care

Pediatric experience is preferred, including:

Neonates
Infants
Pediatrics
Adolescents

Required Equipment & Procedures

Servo-I ventilator experience — Required
Direct intubation
Extubation
Nasal airway placement and suctioning
Oral airway placement
Oropharyngeal airway placement and suctioning
Tracheostomy care and suctioning
Pulmonary hygiene
Sputum specimen collection
Weaning from mechanical ventilation
Troubleshooting high-pressure ventilator alarms

Respiratory Treatments & Medications

Experience with:
