Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Candidate Requirements

• 2+ years of recent MLT experience — Required
• AHA BLS certification — Required
• ASCP or AMT certification — Required
• Phlebotomy experience — Required
• Candidates may be required to perform phlebotomy as part of the assignment.
• Float: Required within the clinician's scope of practice.
• Weekend Availability: Some weekend work may be required and will be discussed during the interview.
• Flu Vaccine: Required. Declinations are not accepted.
  • Medical and religious exemptions may be considered case by case.

Facility & Assignment Guidelines

• Facilities generally follow a 36/48-hour schedule over a two-week pay period, unless otherwise specified on the job order.
• Patient-to-staff ratios may fluctuate based on census, call-outs, and operational needs.
• Orientation: Conducted bi-weekly.
• The start date listed on the job order represents the date the facility needs the resource to begin.
• Local candidates are not accepted. The resource must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered.
• Following an offer, the Assignment Confirmation must be signed within 24 hours.
• ARH cover sheet is required with all submission packets.
• Do not submit candidates to multiple positions.
