Required Skills:
- Current Montana RN licensure
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- American Heart Association ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- AHA PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification
- Competence in modified primary nursing practices
- Minimum of 1 year in emergency or critical care nursing
- Strong clinical judgment, patience, and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Tact, discretion, and sensitivity in patient interactions
- Additional trauma-related education (minimum 6 hours annually)
- Experience with stroke patient care and protocols
- Knowledge of hospital policies related to hyper-acute and acute stroke care
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care settings
Other Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform sustained physical activities such as standing, walking, twisting, and reaching
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, nights, and after-hours
- On-call availability may be required
- Ability to comply with all safety and infection control protocols, including handling bloodborne pathogens and infectious materials
