Shift : 7a-5p M-F + Call rotation after hours and on weekends! Participate in on-call rotations and cover weekends and holidays as assigned (at least: 1–2 weekday calls, 1 weekend per month - turns out to be 1 every 5ish weeks- , rotating holidays). Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field required. 

MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred or eligible within a specified timeframe. 

Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call and weekends.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate results.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Responsibilities: 

Meet attendance and punctuality standards.

Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Maintain patient and system confidentiality.

Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids (blood, urine, spinal fluid) to identify normal and abnormal components.

Perform automated and manual hematology testing, studying blood cells for counts and morphology.

Conduct blood group, type, and compatibility testing for transfusions; record reactions and enter results into the computer system.

Perform urinalysis and serology testing according to established protocols; document results appropriately.

Set up, read, and report results from bacteriological cultures.

Conduct quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data and document findings and actions taken.

Record and monitor daily temperatures of instruments, refrigerators, freezers, and laboratory rooms.

Perform and document routine preventative maintenance on lab equipment according to schedules and procedures.

Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
