Contract Details:

Start Date: 10/12/2026
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: 5 days/week (Monday through Friday)
Shift: 8-hour shifts
Start Time: 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM
On-Call: Every other week (Monday-Friday 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM and Saturday-Sunday 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM)
Weekend Call: Every other weekend call requirements apply

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly professional Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the radiology department at a prominent 378-bed tertiary teaching hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of nuclear medicine patient exams at a technical level, producing high-quality diagnostic images under general supervision while ensuring strict radiation safety protocols.
 

Required Experience & Skills:

• Specialise in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging
• Obtain thorough patient history, explain standard clinical procedures, and address patient concerns
• Operate, test, and perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance checks on assigned nuclear scanning equipment
• Measure, prepare, and administer specific concentrations of radioactive isotopes and prescribed medications within the scope of practice
• Complete quality assurance processes and practice strict radiation safety to minimise exposure
• Fully comply with The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws
• Maintain accurate documentation, charts, forms, and logs in paper and electronic formats (Cerner)
• Assist in other clinical areas of radiology as assigned by management
• Active professional registration in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or NMTCB – REQUIRED
• Active BLS certification – REQUIRED

Education:

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine – REQUIRED

Additional Information:

• Overtime / Holiday Multiplier: 1.1x regular rate
• Call Back Multiplier: 1.1x regular rate
• Non-Billable Hours (NBO): 12 hours of initial orientation/setup hours are non-billable
• Extension Discount: $1.00 / hour reduction on the initial contract extension
• Local Traveler Rule: Anyone with a permanent address within a 35-mile radius is considered a local traveler, and their travel rate will be reduced by 10%
• Employment Restriction: Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract travel hire within 6 months of their permanent employment end date
• Dress Code: Clean, matching scrubs
   
• Submission Profile Requirements: Complete and updated professional Work History, clear physical copies of active ARRT or NMTCB credentials, and active BLS certification. References are NOT required. A skills checklist is preferred but not mandatory.
