Schedule:  Floating Shift 3*13s 39hours/week

• Unit: 16-bed acuity-adaptable Pediatric Cardiac Care Center
• Patient Population: Critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients; occasional adult congenital heart disease & PICU boarders
• Schedule: 13-hour shifts – rotating Days/Nights
  • Days: 6:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Nights: 6:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Approximately 50% days / 50% nights
  • Typically avoid scheduling days & nights in the same week
• Hours: 9 hrs/week as listed (verify—this appears inconsistent with 13-hour shifts)
• Duration: 6–9 months
• Call: On-call/callback; weekends & holidays per unit needs
• Experience: 2+ years Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience as an APP
• Required Licensure: Active NY RN License + NY Nurse Practitioner License, both in good standing
• Education: Master's degree as Nurse Practitioner
• Certification: Current national NP certification
• Certifications: AHA BLS + PALS
• Clinical Experience: Complex congenital heart anatomy/physiology, post-op cardiac surgery, single-ventricle physiology, open-chest management, arrhythmias, vasopressors, pacemakers, VA/VV ECMO & CRRT
• Preferred: Pediatric Acute Care NP certification
• Role: Primary covering provider; multidisciplinary critical-care management with physicians, RNs, RTs, pharmacists & other specialists
