- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
Will consider 36 or 48 Hours
UNIT: ER
Number of Beds:17
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes with at least 2-years’ experience, Cerner experience
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI or similar
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Cerner
IV pumps: Plum 360
Medication dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Spacelabs
Patient Types:
Peds – Geriatrics, psych, stroke, heart complications, sports injury, MVA
Peds experience not required. (Most peds go to Baptist East)
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Skills required: trach care, vent care, ICU drip care and maintenance, chest tube, art line, CVL, PICC, midline, port, foley, splint/Ortho device application and care, BiPAP/hi-flow, continuous bladder irrigation
Orientation (#hrs/shifts):
24 hrs. in classroom, 24 hrs. on the unit
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Every other or 4 weekend days per month if on block schedule
On call? No
Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy
Requested time off: Max 7 Days, Excluding Holidays
Schedule cycle: 6 weeks
Scrub Color: Any color
