Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of patients, families, and other groups or disciplines.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources appropriately and serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
• Assume accountability for quality patient outcomes and demonstrate professional responsibility for nursing practice.
• Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respecting privacy, adapting communication styles, explaining procedures, and obtaining appropriate permissions.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions.
• Maintain involvement in activities supporting unit and department strategic goals and objectives.
• Embrace behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and the nursing profession.
• Remain knowledgeable of current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to the assigned area.
• Maintain compliance with the organization's Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, including reporting known or suspected unethical or questionable conduct and patient/employee safety or privacy concerns.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Experience Requirements

• 2+ years of nursing experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.

License & Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Clinical specialty certification preferred.

Education Requirements

• Required: Registered Nurse diploma.
• Preferred: Associate or Bache
