Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, compassionate care to patients on a Medical-Surgical/Acute Care unit. The RN will assess patients, administer medications and treatments, monitor changes in condition, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, pain, and other clinical indicators.
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
Provide wound care and assist with mobility, ADLs, and patient safety.
Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and nursing documentation.
Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and hospital policies.
Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
Provide care for patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Requirements Active RN license eligible to practice in New York. Previous Med/Surg or acute-care RN experience preferred. BLS certification. Strong assessment, medication administration, communication, and clinical skills. Ability to work both day and night shifts as required by the assignment.
