NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunities – Downey, CA

We are currently seeking experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurses (RNs) for per diem opportunities in the Downey, California area.

Requirements

• Active California RN license in good standing
• Must reside in California and live within 30 minutes of the facility
• Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU experience
• Level III NICU experience required
• Previous NICU surgical patient care experience required
• Current BLS, NRP, and any additional facility-required certifications
• Availability to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month

Schedule & Orientation

• Per diem scheduling opportunities
• Clinicians must maintain availability for at least 4 shifts monthly
• Orientation is held every Monday
• Clinicians will complete one unit shift during the same week as orientation
• Ongoing scheduling opportunities available after successful onboarding

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for critically ill and premature neonates in a Level III NICU setting
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Care for neonatal patients requiring complex medical and surgical interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments
• Collaborate with neonatologists, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Educate and support families throughout the patient care journey
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
