Shift Notes

7p-7a, weekends as needed, first to float

Float Pool – Clinical Support Unit | Boise, Idaho

Charting: EPIC
Offer: Medical Solutions interview → auto offer
Experience: 2+ years in specialty and previous travel experience required
Facilities: Boise, Meridian, and Nampa
Float: Med-Surg, ED holds, Tele, or 1:1 sitter; may float between facilities during a shift
Ratios: ED holds 1:4; Med-Surg 1:5
Certifications: BLS + ACLS
Patients: Post-op, ortho, neuro, telemetry, medical, oncology, CVA/TIA, chest pain, CHF, etc.
Drips: Must be comfortable titrating Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, heparin, and insulin
Schedule: 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM
Self-scheduling: No; block scheduling is attempted but not guaranteed
Weekends: Every other weekend
Call: None
Floating: Travelers are first to float and may be moved to another unit/facility at any time based on need
Orientation: Meet-and-greet on Day 1 + 3 inpatient orientation shifts
Parking: Safe and easy parking at all facilities
Culture: Described as a very good culture
Housing: Meridian is described as central to all three locations
