School Registered Nurse (RN) – Talbot County / Baltimore County, MD - Easton, MD
Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!
PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time school-based position supporting high school students with medical needs in Maryland.
This position includes riding the school bus with a student (located in Easton MD) between their home in Talbot County and school in Baltimore County, as well as providing nursing support to another student during the school day.
Position Details
- Pay: $50–$55+ per hour
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Full Time
- Hours: Approximately 37 hours per week
- Population: High School
- Setting: School-based and student transportation
- In-person position
Qualifications
- Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience with pediatric, school-based, or 1:1 nursing preferred
- Comfortable providing nursing care during school transportation
- Ability to monitor and respond to students' individualized medical needs
Responsibilities
- Ride the school bus with a student to and from school and provide nursing support during transportation
- Provide direct nursing care based on individualized student health plans and physician orders
- Support another student requiring nursing care during the school day
- Monitor students for changes in medical status and respond appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the RN scope of practice
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation
- Communicate and collaborate with families, school staff, and other healthcare professionals
- Help ensure students' health and safety throughout the school day and during transportation
