School Social Worker – Aurora, IL
Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!
PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for a full-time, school-based position in the Aurora, IL area. This position will support both middle school and transition-aged students and offers the possibility of extending into the following school year.
Position Details
- Pay: $50–$56 per hour
- Start Date: Early December 2026
- End Date: May 2027
- Possibility to extend for the 2027-2028 school year
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full Time
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Population: Middle School and Transition-aged students
- In-person position
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
- Master's degree in Social Work
- School-based experience preferred
- Experience supporting students with diverse social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group social work services to students
- Support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs
- Develop and implement appropriate IEP goals and interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
- Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources
- Maintain required documentation and monitor student progress
- Support transition-aged students as they build skills for greater independence and post-school success
