Registered Nurse / Operating Room...

What is the shift?
? 40 hours per week
? 2x12s, 7a-7:30p, varying Monday-Friday
? 2x8s, 7a-3:30p, EVERY Saturday and Sunday

What are the ratios? OR patient ratio is 1:1...

How many years of experience are required?
? 2 years of Operating Room experience is required
? Level II trauma experience is required
? Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience are preferred...

Are first-timers accepted? Yes?

What is the weekend requirement? EVERY Saturday and Sunday is required...

Is on call required? Yes, call is required based on unit needs...

Which certifications are required?
? BLS is required
? 16hr Maryland-approved trauma course is required
? 8hrs annual trauma CEUs are required
? ACLS, NIH and PALS are preferred...

Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units? All clinicians within the system float as needed, within their scope...

Is this client open to accommodating block schedule? No...

Are locals accepted? Yes, Lifebridge accepts local candidates...

What is the state licensure requirement? Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission?

Are there any time off restrictions here? If so, what are they?
? The system will auto approve 14 days or less of RTO
? Every other winter and summer holiday are required and no RTO is approved
? No RTO on hard-to-fill days like Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc...

Any additional unit information?
? This is a General Operating Room position at LBH ? Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland
? The OR averages approximately 40 cases per day
? The department provides care to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients
? The RN functions as a member of the patient care team, providing safe, age-appropriate care and serving as a resource for patients and families
? The Operating Room supports advanced technology, minimally invasive techniques, evidence-based care, surgical education and interdisciplinary collaboration

Any additional experience requirements?
? Must be proficient in Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Oral/Dental, Laparoscopic Procedures, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Robotics, Vascular and Thoracic procedures
? General OR and Trauma experience are required
? Required case experience includes thoracic procedures, ENT procedures, endoscopic procedures, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, orthopedics and trauma
? Experience with emergency OR response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia and latex allergy precautions is required
? Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment and Steris equipment is required
