Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care in an acute adult oncology / Medical-Surgical Telemetry setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for patients with leukemia and lymphoma, along with proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and essential nursing skills.
Schedule
- Shift: Day
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekends: Required as needed
- Holidays: Required as needed
- On-Call: None
- Floating: Required
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
Required Qualifications
- Active NJ RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license
- ASN required
- 2+ years of acute adult oncology experience
- Inpatient experience specializing in leukemia and lymphoma
- Medical-Surgical / Telemetry experience
- Strong IV insertion skills
- Phlebotomy experience
- Strong basic nursing skills
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS
- Chemo Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Telemetry certification/experience
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification
- Additional acute-care oncology experience
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and collaborate with physicians to provide comprehensive nursing care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Perform ongoing assessments based on patient conditions, diagnoses, and clinical needs.
- Provide therapeutic nursing interventions and manage assigned patient care.
- Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other treatments according to established protocols.
- Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, and other essential nursing procedures.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to clinical needs.
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care according to nursing standards.
- Provide patient-centered care while maintaining safety, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Support evidence-based nursing practices and quality improvement initiatives.
- Float to other units as required by operational needs.
