🔥 DAY-SHIFT CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER / ECHO TECH CONTRACT – CAYUGA MEDICAL ASSOCIATES

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) in scenic Ithaca, New York (Finger Lakes Region). Operating within Cayuga Medical Associates’ outpatient cardiology practice (CHI Cardiology) with testing coverage at Cayuga Medical Center, this position features a desirable 5x8 daytime schedule (08:00 AM - 16:30 PM / 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday). NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! If you are an ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) credentialed cardiac sonographer proficient in 2D/M-Mode echocardiography, stress echo, and Holter monitoring looking to earn $2,895/week with maximum tax-free stipends, this Upstate New York opportunity is built for you!

Weekly Gross: $2,895.00
Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,575.00
Hourly W2 Rate: $33.00/hr (40 regular hours)
Overtime Rate: $49.50/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (08:00 AM - 16:30 PM / 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday).
Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
On-Call Requirements: NO ON-CALL REQUIRED!
Clinical Setting & Department: Cayuga Medical Associates – CHI Cardiology (1555) / Cayuga Medical Center. Busy outpatient cardiology practice serving Ithaca and Tompkins County, with travel to the adjacent hospital to perform inpatient and outpatient scans.
Procedural Scope & Responsibilities:
- Performing, calculating, and documenting diagnostic 2D and M-Mode transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE).
- Assisting with and executing exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms.
- Hook-up, disconnection, and data downloading/scanning of Holter monitors.
- Communicating preliminary quantitative findings and critical structural values directly to cardiologists.
EMR System: Epic (Epic Questionnaire completed during onboarding).

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of dedicated clinical Cardiac Sonographer experience across outpatient or acute hospital settings.
Certifications Required (Document in hand):
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
Onboarding & Compliance: Centralus Core Competency exam, Epic questionnaire, and standard health clearances.
