Job Description:

Position: Surgical Technologist

Location: Bethesda, Maryland

Setting: Operating Room

Duration: 14 weeks

Schedule:

• 7:00am-7:30pm
• Monday-Friday
• Rotating day off, no set schedule
• 36 hours per week
• Call required 3-4 times during an 8-week period
• Call may include nights, weekends, and holidays

Overview:

• Assist surgeons during a variety of operating room procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and equipment
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies during procedures
• Assist with patient positioning and operating room setup
• Support surgical cases involving Total Joints, Orthopedic Spine, Neurosurgery, ENT, Ophthalmology (Vitrectomy), and Robotics
• Work in a high-volume operating room environment
• Utilize EPIC EMR as a scrub role

• Client interview required
• Free onsite parking
• Feedback typically within 48 hours to 7 business days
• Facility requires pre-start learning modules (approximately 4-6 hours)
• Start dates must be at least 3 weeks from submission
• No guaranteed hours; facility may cancel based on census and operational needs

Requirements:

• CPR certification required
• Must have completed a Surgical Technology program
• Surgical Technologist certification is not required
• Current operating room experience required
• Experience with Total Joints required
• Experience with Orthopedic Spine required
• Experience with Neurosurgery required
• Experience with ENT required
• Experience with Ophthalmology/Vitrectomy required
• Robotics experience required
• EPIC experience preferred
