Contract Details:

Start Date: ASAP 
Hours: 36 hours/week (Guaranteed)
Schedule: 3 days/week
Shift: 12-hour shifts
Start Time: Variable, between 06:30 AM – 10:30 AM
On-Call: 12 hours weekend + 20 hours weekday on-call per 4-week period
Response Time: 30 minutes
Weekend Call: In addition to regularly scheduled weekend shifts
Weekend Schedule: Two scheduled shifts every other weekend
Contract Weeks: 13 Weeks (Note: Raw data mentioned 91 days)
 

Job Summary:

Provides specific patient care duties and performs unit support activities in the operating room suite. Seeking an experienced Scrub Technician with strong cardiac, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and robotic surgery proficiency.
 

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 3 years as a scrub person in a hospital setting – REQUIRED
• Strong Cardiac Surgery/CVOR proficiency – REQUIRED
• Strong Ortho proficiency – REQUIRED
• Strong Neuro proficiency – REQUIRED
• Strong Robotics proficiency – REQUIRED
• Ability to pick cases following physician preference cards and update them accurately
• Ability to strictly adhere to count policies and procedures (towel clips, Allis, Ednas, instrumental trays)
• BLS for Healthcare Providers – REQUIRED
• Scrub Tech Certification – Preferred
• Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training – Preferred

Education:

• Minimum of High School Education – Preferred
• Completion of an Operating Room Technician program preferred

Language:

• English – Speak, Read, and Write

Additional Information:

• Shift Details: 12-hour variable start times (0630 - 1030)
• Call Payout & Response: 30-minute on-call response requirement applies.
• Cancellation Policy: 1 shift per pay period may be cancelled without pay by the facility.
• Compliance Requirements: Must complete all regulatory updates (TB Testing, Safety Test, Compliance Training, HIPAA Training) 2 weeks prior to evaluation.
