Description

NICU – Level III-B

Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Holiday Requirement: Works holidays in rotation with permanent staff
- Floating: First to float
- Float Locations:
  - L&D to care for babies
  - Postpartum to care for babies
- Floor-Specific Orientation: 2–3 shifts

Patient Population & Ratios
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:3 for feeder/growers
- Patient Population: All gestational ages
- Common Diagnoses / Patient Types:
  - Premature infants
  - Sepsis
  - Infants requiring cooling therapy
  - Substance abuse/withdrawal
- ECMO: Not provided / not performed
- Surgical Patients: Patients requiring surgery are transferred out
Required Experience
- NICU Experience: 2–3 years required
- Level III NICU Experience: Required
- Travel Experience: Preferred
- Delivery Attendance: Preferred
- Cooling Therapy Experience: Preferred
- Spanish-Speaking Nurses: Preferred
