First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in historic Salem, Massachusetts (North Shore Boston area). Operating within the 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU at Salem Hospital—a 400+ bed Level III Trauma Center and prominent member of the Mass General Brigham system—this high-earning position features an approved 48-hour overnight schedule (4x12-Hours, 19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; 36-hour option also available). NIGHT SHIFT DOES NOT ROTATE! NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! FREE ON-SITE PARKING PROVIDED! 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $3,443.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,519.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $37.00/hr (40 regular hours)
• Overtime Rate: $55.50/hr (8 weekly OT hours included)

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Night shifts, 4x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Night shift is straight nights (does not rotate shifts).
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 total hours weekly (40 regular hours + 8 overtime hours).
• On-Call Requirements: NO ON-CALL REQUIRED!
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) rotation.
• Facility & Department: Salem Hospital (NSMC) / S-Dav6 - ICU (SH1331) (SO00001954).
• Unit Acuity & Ratios: 20-bed Med/Surg & Medical ICU. Ratios are 1:2 (1:1 with high acuity/complex devices). In-house Attendings and Residents present in the ICU 24/7.
• Clinical Scope & Patient Population: High-acuity adult admissions including DKA, severe Sepsis, acute Respiratory Failure, GI hemorrhages, Cardiac Arrest resuscitations, Acute Renal Failure, Cardiogenic Shock, substance withdrawal/overdose, and complex co-occurring medical-psychiatric conditions.
• Floating Flexibility: Floating to Med/Surg units as operationally required (ratios 1:4 to 1:5 on Med/Surg floors). Must be fully competent in reading and analyzing telemetry rhythm strips.
• EMR System: Epic.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of continuous adult ICU clinical nursing experience (preferably in a high-volume MICU setting).
• Licensure: Active Massachusetts RN License strictly required in hand at submittal.
• Certifications Required:
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Compliance & Onboarding Requirements:
  • Mass General Brigham (MGB) Candidate Submission Coversheet & Beeline Attestation.
  • MGB Medication Exam & Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam.
  • MGB Skills Checklist, Massachusetts CORI background clearance, and standard health/immunization records.
