Description

We are looking for candidates with:

At least 2 years of experience in labor/delivery or circulating
High risk OB experience, able to perform vaginal exams
NRP certification
FM certification
ACLS and BLS certifications

Candidates must be willing to float to post-partum as needed.

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients, serving as a primary and/or accountable nurse when designated by unit assignment, considering factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost, and impact.
Utilize a working knowledge of pharmacology.
Share responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services.
Comply with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.
Actively participate in and support the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practices.
Engage in professional development, continuing nursing education, and complete all mandatory education requirements.
Integrate nursing research and current evidence into practice.
Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
Perform other duties as assigned.
