Radiologic Technologist

• Shift: 12:00 PM–11:00 PM
• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off 
  Will be working 3x11s (33 hours) and 4x11s (44 hours)
• Rotation: Starts on a Thursday
• Call: Not specified
• Weekends: Included as part of the 7-on/7-off rotation
• Language: English – Read, Write, Speak

Job Summary

• Ensures Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff activities are accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable.
• Serves UHS employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies.
• Prioritizes activities that directly affect customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine:
  • Portable radiology procedures
  • Fluoroscopic procedures
  • Operating room procedures
• Complete all required documentation on requisitions.
• Communicate effectively with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments, and customers.
• Follow patient safety procedures and radiation safety practices according to ALARA principles.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of UHS information service systems.
• Provide patient education and thorough documentation.
• Perform or supervise imaging and radiologic diagnostic procedures according to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures regarding incident reporting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.

Required Education

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology

Required Certifications & Licensure

• New York State Radiologic Technologist License
• ARRT(R) Registration
• BLS Certification
  • AHA
  • HSI
  • American Red Cross
