Position: RN OR Supervisor / Surgical Services Supervisor
Facility: GCMC
Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday OR 4 × 10-hour shifts
Contract: 13 weeks
Local Travelers: Accepted at same rate

Must-Haves

• Active KS or Multistate RN License at submission
• BLS, ACLS & PALS required at submission
• Strong Critical Access Hospital (CAH) background — MUST HAVE
• Strong Operating Room / OR experience
• Typically 3–5 years clinical OR experience
• Prior supervisory or charge RN experience preferred
• Must be able to assist with OB C-sections
• Must take 10–14 days of call/month
• 30-minute call-back time

• Labor & Delivery / C-sections
• May provide direct patient care as needed

Supervisor Responsibilities

• Oversee surgical schedules, room turnover, and patient flow
• Manage OR staffing and shift scheduling
• Train, mentor, and evaluate OR nurses and surgical techs
• Enforce infection-control, safety, OSHA, and AORN standards
• Manage surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Coordinate with Central Sterile/Processing and vendors
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and pre/post-op departments
• Handle operational issues and maintain patient-care standards

Preferred / Helpful

• Central Sterile experience
• BSN or related healthcare degree
• Strong leadership and crisis-management skills
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile-processing techniques
