Description
OR RN – Operating Room
📍 Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Iowa
🕐 Shift:
- Option 1: Mon–Fri, 12:30 PM–9:00 PM, 5×8s
- Option 2: Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri, 10:30 AM–9:00 PM, 4×10s
📞 Call: 1 overnight/week + 3 weekends per 13-week period
💻 EMR: Epic
🏥 Beds/ORs: 16 OR suites; typically 12–14 in use
Job Details
- Operating Room RN
- Circulating experience required
- Scrub experience highly preferred
- Average 35–50 cases/day
- Must be able to float across Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran
- Service lines include cardiac/PV, neuro, ortho trauma, robotics, GYN, urology, general, pediatrics, and transplant
- Da Vinci robotics and Stealth neuro-navigation used
- Scrubs provided
- 50+ miles from facility required; no locals
Requirements
- 24 months of recent OR experience
- General, Da Vinci robotics, pediatrics, and trauma experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred
- Epic experience within the last 3 years
- Previous travel assignment within the last 15 months required
- BLS – AHA/ARC required
- Active Iowa or Compact/Multistate RN license at submission
