Emergency Dept RN

Role

  • RN in the Emergency Department
  • Travel assignment
  • 1 opening

Location

  • Hickory, North Carolina

Schedule

  • 9A-9P
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Weekend rotation every other weekend
  • Call may require push back hours depending on census

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
  • CPI
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

  • Experience in a fast-paced ED
  • Experience with strokes, STEMI’s, and trauma

Unit Details

  • Emergency Department
  • 32 beds
  • Patient ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
  • Patient population: birth to death
  • Trauma is received in this area, though it does not designate a trauma level

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced setting
  • Critical care equipment used
  • Float support includes helping hands in areas where competencies apply

Additional Notes

  • Travelers must start on one of the listed orientation dates
  • Candidates must live 60 miles or greater away to be considered travel
