Description
This is a Night Shift PCU/Progressive Care RN position working 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The RN will care for adult patients in a 34-bed General Medical Progressive Care Unit, with all beds on cardiac telemetry. The unit primarily cares for stroke patients, along with renal disorders, sepsis, endocrine, GI, and hematological conditions. Nurses manage 1:5 PCU ratios, interpret dysrhythmias, manage cardiac telemetry, PICC/central lines, IVs, cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, heparin protocols, chest tubes, and other progressive-care needs.
The position requires 2 years of experience, PCU and cardiac telemetry experience, and Epic experience. First-time travelers are accepted. There is no call, but weekend and holiday rotation is required. Travelers must also be willing to float between Cone Health campuses as needed.
