General Information: 

• Number of ORs: 4
• Minimum Years of Experience?
  • CST: 5 years preferred, but will take 3 years

• Will you accept a first-time traveler? No, need at least 1 travel assignment

   

   

  Case Types:

  • Adults and peds, but minimal peds
  • General surgeries (open and laparoscopic) – bowel, gallbladder, appendix, hernias, portacath, fistulas
  • Urology – laser lithotripsy, nephroureteral stent insertion/removal, vasectomies, TURPs
  • ENT – T&As, endoscopic sinus, facial lesions, thyroids, nick dissection
  • OBGYN – C-sections, tubal ligations, D&Cs, D&Es, hysteroscopies, hysterectomies, uterine ablations
  • Ortho – Total joints (knees and hips, only a few shoulders), fractures, wrists, ankles, ACL repairs, fingers, carpal tunnel, rods (bipolar and nailings); podiatry (can be trained)
  • Endoscopies – EGDs and colonoscopies (experience not required)
  • Do not need robotics experience
  • No conscious sedation cases
  • All staff will help turn over rooms

   

   

  Cases performed per day (average):

  • Average about 25 cases per day

   

   

  Scrub Tech: 

• Ok if no experience with total joints, podiatry, or endoscopy cases, but need to be willing to be trained
• Ok if no OB/C-section experience, but need to be comfortable with at least open abdominal cases and be willing to be trained in c-sections
• Experience with all other case types listed above

Scheduling: 

• Operating hours: Monday – Friday, 0700-1730
• Weekend rotation: Call only – see below
• Shift: Everyone works 10h shifts with a rotating day off
• Manager will make call schedule, typically made for about 6 weeks at a time.
• Call required for RN and CST:
  • 6-7 call shifts per month on average
  • Weekday: typically 1-2 call shifts. Will be EOS until 0700 the following morning
  • Weekends: typically every 4th or 5th weekend. Will be EOS Friday until Monday morning at 0700
  • Response Time: 20 minutes
  • 1 sleep room available; check spread sheet at facility for availability
• Holiday Expectations? Will be on call some holidays but not all if there are multiple in the contract
• RTO: Manager approval
