RN - PACU at Windham Hospital (Williamantic, CT)

Hours: 8 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours shifts, dependent on needs of surgical schedule

On Call: Approximately one day every 11 days during the week, one weekend every 11 weeks – on rotating basis

Required:

Must be proficient in Ambulatory Surgical setting AND Phase I/II Recovery setting; proficient at IV starts; proficient at recognizing aberrant cardiac rhythms

BLS, ACLS, PALS must be Active at the time of submission.

Must be proficient with EPIC charting; Plan to hit the ground running

About the Unit: This is a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgical department who has experienced a recent large volume, low acuity expansion of patients; Types of surgeries performed here include: Total Joint, Orthopedic Spine, Arthroscopic ACL/PCL Repair, Repair of fractures – hip, wrist, etc., GYN (not OB) - hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, General Surgery, Robotic – da Vinci, MAKO, Globus, Urology – laser litho, TURBT, TURP, Endoscopy; We do NOT do Hearts, Heads, Pedi, OB, ENT, or Eyes
