Description
- Facility: Iowa Lutheran Hospital
- Unit: 5 East
- Unit Type: Med Surg / Med Surg Tele
- Bed Size: 15
- Patient Ratio: 4–5:1
- Patient Types: All types of Med Surg patients
- EMR: EPIC
- Telemetry: Remote tele monitoring / tele tech
- Drips: Heparin
- Scrubs: Navy blue, solid colors
- Floating: Required across Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital
Holiday Requirement
- Unless the unit is closed, the traveler must work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming holidays:
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
- New Year's
Schedule / Weekend
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or every 3rd weekend, depending on staffing/census
- On Call: No
- Orientation dates: 10/26 or 11/9
- Earlier start: Prioritized
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Extension: Department prefers an RN willing/open to extending beyond the initial 13 weeks
