Description

Travel RN – Medical ICU (MICU)

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Unit: Medical ICU (MICU)
Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center
Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
EMR: Cerner
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.
Administer medications, IV drips, blood products, and titratable infusions.
Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes in patient condition.
Manage ventilated patients and collaborate with respiratory therapy.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurate documentation in Cerner.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care progression.
Maintain compliance with unit protocols, safety standards, and infection prevention practices.

Requirements

Active RN License
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
Recent ICU/MICU experience
Experience with Cerner preferred
