Requirements

• 2 years of RN experience
• CVOR experience
• Active NC or Compact RN license
• BLS – AHA
• Travel experience
• EPIC experience
• Willingness to circulate
• Willingness to take call, including weekend call

• 80-mile local radius rule
• Candidates within 80 miles are considered local and are subject to the facility's local policy.

• CVOR Suites: 7
• RN-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Patient Population: Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic surgery

Surgical Experience

Cardiac Surgery:

• CABG
• Valve repair and replacement
• Minimally invasive and robotic valve procedures
• TAVR
• LVAD placement

Vascular Surgery:

• Open and endovascular abdominal aneurysm repair
• Peripheral vascular procedures
• Carotid stenting
• Angioplasty
• Amputations

Thoracic Surgery:

• Open thoracotomy
• VATS
• Esophageal/hernia repairs
• Bronchoscopy
• Esophagoscopy
• Robotic procedures

OR Responsibilities

• Circulating Nurse: Manages overall nursing care in the OR and helps maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
• Scrub Nurse: Prepares the sterile field, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions and assists with management of the sterile field and surgical equipment.
• Circulating and scrub staff perform sponge and supply counts to help prevent retained surgical items.
