Unit Information

• Beds: 26
• Typical Census: 20–24 patients
• Patient Ratio: 1:2, with occasional 1:1 and 1:3 assignments
• Night Staff: 10–12 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 0 PCTs
• EMR: Meditech
• Equipment: Impella, balloon pumps, CRRT, TTM, EVDs

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ICU experience
• Neuro ICU experience required
• Active RN license
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIHSS/NIH certification required
• Experience with critical-care medication drips, including vasoactives, sedatives, and paralytics

Preferred Experience

• Previous Meditech experience
• Previous travel experience in a large-facility ICU

Common Procedures & Patient Care

Cardiac:

• STEMI/NSTEMI heart caths
• Balloon pumps
• Impella
• Cardioversion

Neuro:

• EVD management
• Thrombectomy
• Coiling procedures

Critical Care:

• CRRT
• TTM following cardiac arrest
• Central lines
• Arterial lines
• Vasoactive, sedative, and paralytic medication drips
